What we do

DemiCare aims to provide personalized support for informal caregivers interacting with people with dementia (PwDs) which is based on the social background (e.g. gender, locality and distance to the PwDs)), pre-existing knowledge and general abilities of the caregiver and the relationship of the PwD and the carer, their social ecosystem, as well as on the health status of the person with dementia.

Through the sound and continuous user involvement, making use of co-design, requirement analyses as well as multi-method evaluations, DemiCare will provide innovative design approaches:

Wearability for persons with dementia focussing on pragmatic as well as hedonic experience dimensions

Agency-enabling data-sharing by design

Data-driven, multi-level personalization training approaches and sensitive symptoms anticipation
